Our Best Friend TRR - NSW

This is it.  Our final journey with TRR.  We never imagined that this day would come to pass, thinking that we’ll all grow old together while teaching our kids to play football at our weekly kick-a-bout sessions.

TRR always brought joy and laughter to our mundane lives.  He loved annoying us with his ‘cool’ replies, ramblings in Chinese in our whasapp group chat, and the infamous ‘tiam la’ and ‘sorry’.   Having TRR around was always fun – Mahjong and DoTA sessions, playing winning eleven and FIFA on his playstation, fooling around with his pet dog Bella and many more.  We always looked forward to the Christmas parties at his house, where we could savour the delicious Mee Siam that his mum prepared, and our low budget gift exchanges where we trade ‘interesting and useful’ presents with our soccer kakis.  How we’ll miss those wonderful times.

As we prepare to bid TRR goodbye, we should also be proud of his heroic final act.  We hope the seeds that he sheltered will grow into strong and sturdy trees, taking on his selfless spirit and doing him proud.  While time and tide may ease the pain of losing our best friend, TRR will forever live in our hearts.  We know that he’ll be looking over us, and will always be available to receive our passes.  Rest in peace my friend, as you’re in a better place now.

With love,
Song Wei
