This was a match where LFC dominated proceedings throughout the game. We were superior man for man and won the majority of the 50-50 balls. Cemi was first off the mark in the 8th min
with a left foot shot into the bottom right hand corner from a superb through ball by Songwei. Then in the 18th min, Cemi played a square ball across the edge of the box and Tingfeng rifled in a first time shot with his left foot into the top right hand corner, leaving the keeper with no chance. Shili marshalled the defence well, putting in many wonderfoo clearances while Yonglin covered and tracked the opposing striker well. Team Random (4) was trying to conjure up some play on the left wing but Jiiyan was up to the task, coping with the pressure from the left winger well.
The midfield pairing of Songwei and Tingfeng controlled the game well with crisp short passes as they distributed the play to the flanks. The next goal came in the 34th min when Junwen gave a terrific through ball to Yiqin who managed to stay onside and he raced down before putting in his shot across the keeper's body into the bottom right hand corner. Chances were plenty for LFC as Cemi combined well with Terrence before the latter put in a low shot to the corner with the opposition keeper equally up to the task. Then, Tingfeng played in a through ball which wrongfooted the defence to Terrence, but credit to the opposition No.1 whom palmed it out for a corner. Minutes before halftime, from a loose ball cleared out to the right flank, Cemi angled in a cross cum shot into the top left hand corner. Despite the efforts of the defender on the line to clear the ball, it has crossed the line and the goal was credited to Cemi for his 2nd goal of the match. The half drew to a close as LFC No.1 Buffon has hardly a save to make other than the various futile attempts on goal from kickoff by the opposition striker.
The second half started with several substitutions by LFC. Junsong, Alvin and Zesen came in for Jiiyan, Yiqin and Songwei. The opposition kicked off in their usual style, with the opposition No.9 produced a vicious shot from the halfway line but our No.1 Buffon handled the shot with ease. The match went on with a similiar pattern as in the first half with LFC dominant in all departments. The next goal came from Terrence when he received a pass from Songwei at the edge of the box and swivelled to finish at the bottom near post. Team Random (4) was starting to change their tactics and began to build up play on their right flank. Juehai was kept busy as he tracked back and made many clearances. The right winger was trying to ruffle the feathers of Juehai as he began to put in rough challenges on our LB. LFC put in a corner by Alvin as the ball was cleared to the far post, Terrence put in a low cross into the box with Junsong finishing with his left foot. LFC began to make tactical changes, with several players switching roles. Songwei then produced a scorcher from the edge of the penalty box which ricochet off Alvin into the bottom right hand corner, reminiscent of Fillipo Inzaghi's goal against Liverpool in the Champions League Finals 06/07. Unfornately, an offside decision robbed Alvin of his 1st ever goal for LFC.
As the clock ticks down, LFC began to show fatigue in their tracks as Team Random (4) robbed LFC of their 1st clean sheet. From a long goal kick, the opposition striker managed to accelerate away from the shackles of Junsong and put in a shot across our No.1. Though Buffon managed to get a touch of the ball, it rolled into the far post and punctured the spirits of LFC. Team Random (4) was revitalised as they had a spring in their steps. However, their midfielder aka Argentina shirt was playing overly enthusiastically and when Juehai came across to cover his ball well, Argentina shirt grabbed Juehai by the arm and pulled him back. Juehai then lost his cool momentarily and reacted to the infringement by Argentina shirt and slapped him on his back. The referee came across and gave Juehai a yellow card for retaliation.
Team Random (4) then scored their second goal as LFC's defence failed to clear a cross from the flank and the opposition No.9 bundled home from close range. LFC conceded their third goal from a corner when LFC failed to track a run from Team Random(4)'s random player and he put in a first time shot from the corner into the net. Throughout the game, Argentina shirt has been putting in over-enthusiastic challenges on many of LFC's players and he conceded a free kick about 40yards out when he put in a violent tackle on Tingfeng. The latter then dusted himself up as he thumped his freekick into the bottom left hand corner for his 2nd goal of the match, despite the despairing dive of the opposition No.1.
Team LFC got back into the game as they managed to create several key opportunities in the last few mins of the game. A cross from Junwen who was playing at right back reached Jiiyan at the top left area of the penalty box who managed to trap it down beautifully and relayed it to Tingfeng who was on the left flank. The latter then mesmerised the right back and dribbled down the byline before squaring back to Jiiyan for an open shot on goal. The chance was gone as Jiiyan shot wide. Then in the dying minutes of the game, Juehai ventured forward down the left flank, dribbling past the right back before curling in a swerving left foot cross with Yiqin and Zesen at the far post. Yiqin missed his header as Zesen contrived to connect with the cross beautifully 1st time. Unfortunately for him, his 1st time shot hit the post. The match came to a close as the referee whistled for full time, awarding Team LFC of their second victory so far in 4 matches.
The fixture next week will be the last game for LFC as they embarked on their mugging schedules. A target perharps for LFC to work on in the next game will be keeping a clean sheet.
